Writing has been a part of my life since I was 7 years old. At the time, it was a way for me to express myself and be creative.
As I got older, I started to see writing differently. I started to read and watch the news more. It was fascinating to see that from one article being published about an issue or injustice, a resolution could arise in seconds.
After seeing many instances of lives changing from journalism, I felt compelled to pursue digital journalism. Now, as a senior mass communications major at Louisiana State University, I've gotten a taste of the journalism career I always dreamt of.
Currently, I've published several articles and had a chance to work with a few publications. I've also had a chance to explore other sides of communications, like social media content creation.
Although my journalism career has just begun, I've been blessed to have already had a few monumental experiences.
When I think of the experience I'm most proud of, I think of the day I started my internship with CNBC Events. After writing two articles for CNBC, I evolved as a writer and journalist. It's an experience I reflect on with immense gratitude.
